The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is committed to providing the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world. The agency is executing a plan for safe and staged integration of unmanned aircraft systems into the National Airspace System.
If you want to fly your Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for commercial use, you must follow the FAA’s set of operational rules (known as “Part 107”). These rules went into effect on August 29, 2016. (19)

Arizona Commerce Authority, AZSKYTECH - Evolving UAS Technology: AZSkyTech program was established in 2018 by the Arizona Commerce Authority under Governor Ducey's direction to position the state as the premier place in the world to responsibly test, deploy and advance Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) technology and policy. Know Before You Fly is an education campaign that provides prospective users with the information and guidance they need to fly safely and responsibly. The campaign is organized by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aerospace Arizona (Association) is a nonprofit organization founded and operated by Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation that promotes and advances the aerospace industry throughout the State of Arizona. The organization represents its members and informs them on legislative, regulatory, safety and technical issues. It also educates federal, state, county, and local elected officials and their staff, as well as other key stakeholders, on the importance and necessity of policies that facilitate a thriving aerospace industry in Arizona. The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics, represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in industry, government and academia. AUVSI members work in the defense, civil and commercial markets. (21)
With a mission of representing and extending AUVSI’s reach, the Saguaro chapter focuses on promoting, encouraging and extending safe use and deployment of unmanned systems in Arizona. (19)
